We're currently hiring for two fab roles within our trade team: 

  • Business Development Champ - a teanut with sales experience to help grow our business within our contract catering and wholesale customers. 
  • Trade Sales Superstar - a fab entry level role to help extend our distribution into the independent businesses

Business Development Champ

Do you love food and drink? Do you love selling? We have the job for you…. ta dahhhh!

We’re looking for a sales savvy tea nut to help us to grow business within our contract catering and wholesale customers like Bidfood, Compass and BaxterStorey.

In this role you will be tasked with proactively making contacts and building relationships in order to win new business and grow existing accounts all whilst educating people about the world of real tea!

You will be supporting our Key Account Manager – Contract Catering at shows, exhibitions and sales meetings, gathering information about our customer’s needs and requirements and helping to implement changes to drive sales. You’ll be pivotal to building and maintaining strong relationships with wholesaler representatives and will carry out training and tasting sessions to allow them to up sell our tea to the end customer. 

You will also be responsible for ensuring marketing plans are activated within sites, helping to organise samplings and POS support where appropriate.

Sales experience is required as you’ll be expected to work fairly independently to target relevant accounts in order to drive new business.

Trade Sales Superstar

Enthusiastic, energetic tea lover required to extend our distribution into the independent businesses e.g cafes, delicatessens & farm shops.

Based in our office in west London, you'll be dealing with incoming enquiries and pro-actively calling / visiting places which sell / serve tea but have not yet discovered the wonders of whole leaf teapigs tea!

You will be working to a sales target but 'hard sell' is not our style. You will be part of a young team in a fast growing business. This is an entry level role which would suit a recent graduate or someone with a couple of years of work experience.

you're perfect for us if you have..

  • Friendly and able to build relationships – you’ll spend a lot of time on the phone talking to potential teapigs customers so building relationships will be important.
  • Organised – You will be juggling lots of tasks, so being able to manage work load is key.
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve KPIs
  • Willing to chip in – there is lots going on in the office so we all help each other out!

 Sales experience is ideal but not essential.
