marketing assistant - digital focus 

We’re on the hunt for a tea nut with buckets of energy and creativity to help the busy marketing and e-commerce team. Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, you’ll be involved with all aspects of implementing our marketing strategy, and really help bring our campaigns to life. 

We’re a super small team, and as such you’ll need to be willing to help out in all areas. Any given day could see you creating website panels and writing copy for the blog in the morning, and assisting our PR & events manager with packing up product for a consumer show in the afternoon. 

It’s a pretty diverse role, and would suit a creative person with strong commercial awareness…who also loves talking to people about tea at the odd show (we’re not asking for much – right!?).

Here’s a bit more detail on how your time would be split across digital content, PR and events:

digital marketing & content:

  • Assisting Digital Communications Manager with creating content for teapigs web pages, social media, blog and email campaigns.
  • Putting together digital assets for online and wider team
  • Liaising with our external graphic designer on marketing assets for wider business.
  • Assisting with photography both in house and on professional shoots.
  • Adapting our marketing materials so they can be used in teapigs international markets
  • Updating brand guidelines and sales presentations when needed.
  • Market research projects for US office  


  • Assisting our events manager in planning and setting up events
  • Serving and selling tea at teapigs events and in-store samplings
  • Packing and unpacking for teapigs events
  • Keeping all the events materials ship shape and ready to use


PR & partnerships

  • Reviewing and updating press releases and PR presentations
  • Researching new PR opportunities and media contacts
  • Logging and saving all consumer and trade press pieces.
  • Ensuring our overseas partners have everything they need to tell more people about teapigs
  • Sourcing new partners for teapigs to work and building relationships with existing partners
  • Help with all PR and influencer send outs 

skills / experience

  • Lots of energy and enthusiasm to learn
  • Passion for online, marketing and social media
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and the wider Adobe package.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A good eye for graphic design
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Be able to work occasional weekends at events (time given in lieu)
  • Not essential but if you can speak French or German it would be a huge plus.

  • Salary is £21k plus yearly bonus, with a yearly review.

Think about your favourite biscuits, what you do during your brew time and whether you want to go rogue and add milk first – the options are endless for what is essentially a pretty mundane task.

Sales superstar

We're looking for two enthusiastic, energetic tea lovers to join our wonderful trade team & help extend our distribution into the independent businesses e.g cafes, delicatessens & farm shops.

Based in our office in west London, the two roles will largely be dealing with incoming enquiries and pro-actively calling / visiting places which sell / serve tea but have not yet discovered the wonders of whole leaf teapigs tea! One role will be focused on new business, with the other focused on supporting existing accounts. 

You will be working to a sales target but 'hard sell' is not our style. You will be part of a young team in a fast growing business. These are entry level roles which would suit a recent graduate or someone with a couple of years of work experience.

 You're perfect for us if you are...

  • Friendly and able to build relationships – you’ll spend a lot of time on the phone talking to potential teapigs customers so building relationships will be important.
  • Organised – You will be juggling lots of tasks, so being able to manage work load is key.
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve KPIs
  • Willing to chip in – there is lots going on in the office so we all help each other out!

Sales experience is ideal but not essential. 

Compensation details

£21,000 + Bonus + Benefits (health care option/ free tea allowance / weekly fitness classes!)

25 days paid annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
