We're back with another ever so delicious tea of the month... hello jasmine pearls! This one is also known as dragon pearls - yep, THAT'S why there is a dragon on the pack.

How is it made?

Now, all tea is a work of art, but none more so than this one. The leaves of this green tea from Southern China are carefully hand rolled (that's right, no machines in sight!) into a precious pearl, then engulfed in fresh jasmine flowers. It’s this process which elevates our tea to a whole new level; some jasmine teas are made with flavourings, but leaving the tea to nestle amongst real flowers allows the natural floral scent to absorb into the tea leaves. This process can be repeated up to 7 times, until the tea has just the right amount of jasmine. As we're sure you can tell, it's a real labour of love, which can be tasted in every sip!

How does it taste?

Light, delicate and floral with the perfect amount of jasmine – pretty much everything you could ever want from a green tea and a firm favourite at teapigs HQ.

How best to enjoy it...

A tea with this much care and skill poured into it deserves to be brewed (and enjoyed!) properly. So, that means brewing in 80 degree water (if you don't have a fancy kettle or thermometer to hand, grabbing the kettle just before it boils will do the job!) for at least 3 minutes. We adore this tea at any time of the day, but it’s extra special when you’re in need of a little pick-me-up after a long, chaotic day. This one is also gorgeous iced - simply cover one temple with boiling water, infuse for 3 minutes, remove the temple and then top-up the glass with icey water - delicious!
