Each month, we run a competition with our wonderful stockists, to find our stockist of the month! This month, their challenge was to make summer drinks with teapigs. Our winner was The Village Teapot in Preston, a new vintage tearoom that serve the most delicious scones.

How long have you been a teapigs stockist and what made you choose our tea?

Since we opened on the 1st of May 2017 so 3 months now

If you could only have one teapigs tea for the rest of your life, which would you pick?

Earl Grey Strong, the smell when you pop open the tea jar just fills the air it’s MARVELLOUS!

How do you use teapigs matcha?

I love to make and drink matcha lattes.

What made you want to set up shop?

I just love to bake cakes and I had a cake business for 11 years but I truly always wanted a vintage tearoom since I was a child and you just can’t have a tearoom without serving the best tea....teapigs! The opportunity came in my village and I just jumped at the chance. It has been the best thing I have ever done and my dream finally has come true!

Have there been any hiccups along the way?

Not really...we have only been open 3 months and business is booming. We really feel like the heart and soul of the community. The tearoom used to be an old co-op store back in the day and we have brought the place back to life.

Have you ever had any exciting celeb customers?

Not yet but we treat everyone like a celebrity here!

Apart from tea (obviously!) what is your best seller?

My home made scones are our best seller, people have travelled far and wide to buy them. We don’t just sell the average plain or sultana scone, we make many different varieties and flavours and go perfectly with our teas.

What’s the craziest customer request you’ve ever had?

Probably the village build a breakfast order I took this morning which consisted of 4 poached eggs, smoked salmon, pork sausages, avocado and cherry tomatoes with lemongrass tea. Each to their own!
