If you follow us on Instagram, you would have seen that we've teamed up with Brewgooder for one of our 12 days of teapigs giveaways. Brewgooder is a craft beer brand set up in Edinburgh, which is on a mission to provide clean drinking water to people who need it. Like us, Brewgooder is B Corp Certified - that means they focus on the overall positive impact of the company (for its workers, customers, community and environment), instead of focusing just on the product.

We chatted to Iain from the team to find out a bit more about Brewgooder's products and the awesome work they do...

tell us a bit about brewgooder

We use 100% of our profits to empower the lives of those who need it, and have so far brought 65,00+ people clean water in Malawi, Africa. This has mostly been achieved through the sale of our flagship beer, 'Clean Water Lager' brewed by BrewDog. In 2019, we introduced five collaboration beers with our friends at Drygate, Cross Borders, Fourpure & Overtone.

…and what’s your role there?

I'm Brewgooder's Content & Social Media Manager, I create and deliver all visual aspects of the brand online. This includes all photography, graphic design, copywriting, social media management and much more — so I usually have my hands quite full!

brewgooder is a fellow b corp! tell us a bit about why it was important for the company to get this official certification...

We like to think that we are doing something very different from normal, everyday businesses by putting purpose first, but within the day to day of running our company we think there is massive room to do things differently, positively and sustainably. We're striving to improve and to become more transparent, open and accountable and we wanted to be held to this and join in with other businesses doing the same. That’s why we choose to become B-Corporation Certified.

what’s your favourite product?

My favourite beer in the range right now is our new Mango Pale Ale. It's a collaboration beer with London-based Fourpure Brewing Company and it's SO delicious and juicy!

where would you like to see the company in the next 5 years?

We're on a mission to provide 1,000,000 people clean drinking water by 2025, so if we've reached that in five years’ time we will have succeeded!
