Louise the tea taster says

As with our other teas, we insist that our herbal ones always use the whole leaf or flower. We think the leaf should be worshipped, not crushed. Because we use whole peppermint leaves, you’ll find the flavour of this blend much stronger and fresher than regular dusty paper teabags. Peppermint is great for soothing sore tummies and helping us to keep a healthy digestive systems.

how does it taste?

Very minty, very refreshing, very light.

  • Tea temple - 1 per person. Infuse in boiling water. Brew for 3+ minutes.
  • Loose tea - 3 rounded teaspoonfuls per person. Brew for 3+ minutes.

Whole leaves take longer to brew, but the little wait is definitely worth it.

How we like it

Strong - the longer you brew, the stronger the mint. Leave it in for 7 minutes …. stonking strength!

Just cover one tea temple with boiling water and infuse for 3 minutes. Remove temple and top-up glass with iced water. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

I love love this tea so much, i never liked mint tea but this is the bomb. I always have it the afternoon at work when i feel like i need a caffeine fix, and for some reason it brightens me up, and i have no guilt as its only 2 calories per cup and no sugar

How it should be

I must admit I was rather disappointed when I received a free sample from teapigs - it was peppermint, and I always detested mint, especially mint tea. Every peppermint tea i've tasted has been awful and hard to swallow - bitter, and tasted more of the bag rather than mint.

Anyways, after a few days i decided i'd give teapigs version ago, since I was suffering from sinus trouble and sleepless nights i thought it may help. I was NOT disappointed. I've never tasted mint tea like this before - you can actually 'feel' the oil of the mint in the tea and it tingles in your throat. It made me feel calm and i had a much needed deep sleep.

I'm buying more of this, and plan to drink daily. Yes, it's not cheap, not cheap at all, but i'm willing to pay for quality.

Peppermint teapigs

I have never liked mint tea until now. Tea pigs peppermint is just delicious. Refreshing, zingy and utterly delightful.

Minty Magic

I absolutely loved this tea, a very intense peppermint flavour without being overbearing. A very invigorating tea which makes it the perfect cup to start your day with or to perk you up during an afternoon slump.

Teapigsare the brand of choice in the cafe where I work, so am lucky enough to enjoy it for FREE !! I have tried other peppermint teas when my daughter has bought them & I have to say the only way I can describe them is like drinking chewing gum - yuk !! not with tea pigs - BY FAR superior to any we have picked up in a supermarket !!
