mao feng green tea

I have enjoyed Teapigs for many a year,, been a devotee since their inception but this is the first time I’ve gone to order and just felt very miffed indeed. I can no longer source the 50 box in my local Waitrose and the 15 has gone up to a ludicrous amount. Ocado doesn’t stock anymore and Amazon is silly money now altogether. So I come to the Mothership to order and find that the 50 is now 40. So now it’s impossible to source anywhere where I won’t incur a hefty shipping charge. I’ll have to find a new supplier for my daily cuppa. It’s disappointing, Teapigs. You should have handled this better.

Usually buy from Amazon, but prior to this order, my usual box of fifty had jumped from £10.38 to £23.98!!!!!
The ever fluctuating Tesco price had now jumped to £5.50 for a box of fifteen. The trouble is, that I adore Teapigs, and it has become something of an addiction…
I have ordered direct in the past, and decided to give it another try. There seemed to be a special offer available, which helped a little….. but then I suddenly noticed that the box of fifty, my usual size ( I’m a three to four a day junkie…. ), had mysteriously shrunk to a box of forty, the box of fifty being no longer available…..
In short, I adore the product, the teabags are always delivered in excellent condition, in suitable packaging, and promptly. I am also aware that prices of tea have gone up, and the world is slowly tipping off it’s axis… but I do feel a little “ done up like a kipper “ ( as they also used to say… ), with prices rocketing, and packets shrinking…., I am beginning to imagine buying Teapigs from shady guys in dark alleys, with a permanent sniffle, who will sell me a “ wrap “ of tea to steal away home to furtively indulge with my toast and honey….
Where will it end?
