Tung Ting tea is named after the mountainous Taiwanese region where it grows. Oolong tea is a part fermented tea, with the strength of a black tea but the aromatic flavour of a green, and Tung Ting is one of the finest. These teas sell in Taiwan for hundreds of dollars - slightly more pricey than your average cuppa, but worth every penny. This tea has a best before date of 3rd June 2019 which is why it's half price!

Louise the tea taster says

how does it taste?

This tea will deliver the strength of a black tea, with the aromatic, flowery flavours of a green tea.

good if you're feeling

A little blue. No, really. This is yoga for the mind, without the embarrassing leotard or spine-cracking back bends. Oolong, like green tea, is reputed to keep you skinny and young. Let’s hope it’s true.

How we like it

Drink Pure. Simply pure.

Brew Time

  • loose tea - 2 rounded teaspoonfuls per person. Brew for 3+ minutes, best with water at 80 degrees C. (If you don't have a fancy kettle or thermometer to hand, grabbing the kettle just before it boils will do the trick!)

Whole leaves take longer to brew, but the little wait is definitely worth it.
