warming and tasty

“lovely rich fruity mulled taste (not tried with brandy yet, as suggested). A very tasty tea.”

* * * * * by Melanie Hayman • 16th September 2015

“My favourite out of all the teapigs teas, lovely warming and just like Christmas, the smells remind me of a Christmas Eve when Granny was baking !
BUT.................. why can we only get it in boxes of 15 ???? Please do some bigger packs !”

* * * * * by • 17th February 2010

“I am loving this tea - I love many of teapigs teas. I love tea! I love Teapigs!! This is my perfect breakfast tea and pre-bedtime tea so I don't get a caffeine rush too early or so late I stay awake. I choose other teapigs teas during the day!”

Nice for Winter.

Great for Christmas

* * * * * by • 23rd February 2007

“or for a cold February afternoon, for that matter! This tea is incredibly comforting and would be great drunk from a big mug while curled up on a sofa with a good book. It has a lovely mulled-wine like flavour.”

The taste of Winter Solstice

* * * * * by Darren Holloway • 28th October 2012

“This tea is wonderful. With or without milk, brandy, silly hats, it works a treat. Tastier than Nigela in an Anne Summers Sexy Sants outfit (possibly) and cheaper than a sun lamp (definitely). Forget the gods of retail and bad music and stay home in front of the fire with a pot of this and a handful of nuts(?) and remember it's all really abaarrt mate. The only reason some French peasants still hibernate is that they haven't tried this yet. As my new mate Farmer Johnny likes to say "Bl***y marvellous!".”

Extremely tasty!

“When I drink this Tea I imagine myself relaxing in a warm, cozy log cabin with the fire on watching some type of nostalgic movie ha-ha

The taste reminds me of those "Atomic Fireballs" sweets that I would get as a kid, I add a tiny bit of milk to mine to give the spicy cinnamon a creamy taste to it

The only thing I am disappointed with is you have no option for a x50 pack I hope that changes in the near future”

Not just for Christmas ...

“Also very good on a grey and gloomy July afternoon. Lovely mulled wine flavour, looking forward to trying it with a splash of brandy.”

Perfect Spiced Winter Red Tea

* * * * * by • 26th October 2010

“I tried this tea today for the first time, and happened to make a latte out of it rather than drinking it straight up. Surprisingly the taste is still very strong through the frothy milk and I love the way in which I can taste the variety of spices. It is a very warming drink, and delicious for any season, though it definitely makes great tea during the colder months - with a hint of brandy.”

Spiced Winter Red Tea

* * * * * by • 29th March 2008

“I think this is by far the nicest Teapigs tea, and think its a real shame that its out of stock - when's it likely to be available again? I also think it should be rebranded for all year round.”

Perfect alternative to mulled wine

* * * * * by • 14th December 2010

“I don't drink alcohol much as I always seem to be the designated driver, so when everyone's passing round the mulled wine or Snowballs at Christmas, I always feel a little left out. When I got this Spiced Winter tea I brewed a cup, added a dash of milk and settled down to enjoy the festive flavours - I didn't feel so left out! It really does taste like Christmas in a Cup.

Perfectly festive and delicious, tastes of Orange, Cinnamon, Spices, Warmth and Cosiness. Recommended.”

“Really surprised how much i like this tea and how tasty it is! Even my hubby loves the smell whilst it is brewing, I have mine black or with a dash of coconut milk, will definitely be buying more.”

“I have no idea what "Christmas" tastes like as I did not grow up in a western country. The reviews of this tea got me really curious. "Christmassy?? What on earth is that??" Anyway long story short I tried it with some milk and it indeed tastes like Christmas with a hint of nostalgia, just like what other reviewers mentioned, although I have no idea why. I will make sure to brew this before watching classic films :)”

* * * * * by • 6th November 2008

“This is such a lovely tea! It is so comforting with a little milk (soya in my case) and a touch of sugar just to bring up the spices. Brilliant on a dull afternoon. I will definately be being this again!”

Prac-tea-cally Perfect In Every Way

* * * * * by Morgan H • 17th October 2018

“I love this tea, my Dad got me a box for Christmas a couple of years ago and its always my go to when it hits autumn. Perfect evening tea when its cold and wet outside and doesn't keep you up. Even better in a Christmas mug come December.”

Delicious, delectable, delightful.

* * * * * by • 3rd December 2008

“I was lucky enough to have foresight and order a couple of boxes of this when I placed my last order, having seen the reviews beforehand. We are currently awaiting some heavy snowfall up North and it is bitterly cold, so I thought I would try this with a splash of brandy as recommended. It really is wonderful with my usual soya milk, but the brandy seems to bring out the spices and adds to the warmth. Fantastic tea, thank you teapigs!”

“Yes! Love this tea! Smells fab. My fiance thought it smelled like fireballs (the old sweeties!). Can't wait for christmas and this tea makes me even more excited for it :)”

“Absolutley love this tea. It's just so delicious! With the added bonus of making the whole kitchen smell like Mother Christmas'! Lovely and warming with real character. Even smells better than my favourite Winter candle from the shop that sells everything 'white'. A real treat. Well done Tea Pigs :-)”

“Personally I prefer it without milk. Not very spicy - quite sweet, very wintery and comforting, with wonderfully healthy rooibos.”

Spiced Winter Red Tea - Gorgjuss!!!!!!!!!

“After a wet afternoon walk with the dog there is nothing better than having a cup of Spiced Winter Red Tea - it is absolutely delicious (and in my opinion I think it tastes better without milk).

Spiced Winter Red Tea

“I nearly gave up on rooibos tea after trying a leading brand from the supermarket. I thought it was disgusting! However the idea of winter spices tempted me to buy a sample packet of teapigs spiced winter rooibos tea to try. I am suitably impressed and absolutely love this tea. I tried it with some Jamesons Whiskey and it has taken me to a whole new level of tea drinking! Well done teapigs for restoring my faith in this famtastically healthy tea.”

Can't Live Without It!

“Thank goodness Tea Pigs are selling this online so I can get it all year round! * * * * * by • 4th September 2009

“Try it! You'll think "Christmas", you'll think "mulled wine"... Lovely comforting taste, you will want more and more. The box says it's great with brandy, when I run out of brandy I tried it with whisky - and I always have it with whisky :)”

So good, my mother's stolen mine!

* * * * * by Caroline • 9th May 2014

“Having never tried rooibos before, I wasn't expecting a lot from this and to be honest, only added it to an order to bulk it up a little.
To my surprise (and delight), this has quickly become one of my favourites. As it is caffeine-free, I find it's a great bedtime drink (and also great with a touch of brandy, if that's your thing).
My only problem now is keeping my mother's thieving hands off my stock!”

Fantasically delicious tea

“Arriving home, soaked to the skin after the last of our 'glorious' summer I found my latest teapig order waiting for me. I'm now cosy, content and ready for winter. Even my tea-loathing, coffee addict of a boyfriend is sold on this with brandy. I prefer it with milk.”

Delicious and Healthy

* * * * * by Marj • 12th December 2011

“Like other reviewers this tea has converted me to rooibos which I previously loathed. This tea smells of winter - candles trees and log fires and warms brilliantly.
I love the spicing and find it just right. Maybe an addition of a clove or two if I had a cold would be comforting. Thanks for a lovely new winter drink Teapigs.”

A hug in a mug

not normally a fan of flavoured teas

* * * * - by Nel • 16th January 2018

“I am not normally a fan of flavoured teas, I often find they smell lovely but taste weak. This is the exception. I just wish I had discovered it a month earlier it would have been perfect over Christmas.”

* * * * - by • 16th October 2008

“Hi I have tried a few Tea Pigs but this is the one that won me over. It has an abundance of mellow woody wholesome flavours, each complimenting each other. Delicious just off lukewarm - I had four in a row the other day...introduced to initially by my excitable friend Una and recently reintroced by 'The Bear' who also as an Alpha Male enjoys an evening cup! If your a fan of Yogi - this is even purer!”

* * * * - by • 21st April 2011

“Very nice winter cup! The spicing is just right and, as someone else wrote, it is rather good with a splash of brandy or whisky as a special cold night treat!”

Smells great, lacks the same flavour

* * * * - by • 9th June 2011

“This tea smells amazing but the flavour didn't match the smell. I found the taste to be quite weak, in comparison to the smell. Still a nice tea though.”

Make it a loose tea

* * * * - by R J • 4th June 2019

“I absolutely am addicted to this tea but it would be great if was available as a loose tea as I can often have it with milk and xylitol before bed loves it”

Exactly what it says it is: 'winter spice'

* * * - - by • 14th November 2007

“This is a very fiery tea - I couldn't make out the rooibos but it reminds me of fireball gobstoppers! Too strong for me but I know lots of people will love this! Go for this if you normally enjoy chai but want to try something spicier!”

Not the mulled wine substitute I was hoping for

* * * - - by jennifer p • 11th November 2018

“I was unable to source the gluhwein bags so bought these as an alternative given the mention of mulled wine on the packing. Just another herbal (expensive) tea I'm afraid. No substitute for mulled wine or other Christmas goodies, as stated on the packing.”
