Temples of Zoom!
by • 10th March 2008
“I found out about both Yerba Mate and Teapigs in an article in Men's Health magazine.
With a two-month old son and a busy job, anything that claimed it could possibly boost my energy levels, was worth a try! So there I found it online (and incidentally, I think it's a great site) and ordered a couple of boxes.
It arrived within a couple of days, and they even chucked in a free sample bag of another tea which I thought was a nice touch. Teapigs very honestly described this as a tea which you'll either love or hate, but my advice is not to be too put off by this - I don't think it's any more of an acquired taste than regular green tea, which if you frequent a site like this, you've probably tried and aren't too put off by.
As for the energy-boosting benefits, well it could be coincidence and/or placebo effect, but I do feel a lot better in the last few days since I started drinking it, so my advice is to give it a try. If nothing else, energy benefits aside it's a really nice tea. Only time will tell if I lose a bit of weight too.
Top marks for the 'tea temples' as well - basically just a very fine teabag with real leaf tea inside - the end result of which is you don't need to dredge your teacup before washing it and don't end up with a layer of dust on top of your tea, just a great tasting brew!
Thanks teapigs - I'll be back soon for another, larger order
Rob”

longing for my mate'
by • 23rd July 2008
“It was when I started tango lessons last year, I was introduced to the Yerbe Mate Tea.
At the Milongas, it was fashinating to see the Argentine teachers gather to suck this drink through a metal straw, out of a specially designed bowl... it seemed almost ritualistic, and deffinately good fun.
When I was invited to try it, I soon fell for the refreshing and energising effect, and set out to get some for myself..
For me - it was the first thing I had ever tried, which could replace coffee, which gives me the gitters if I have too much it..
Since then - I have tried a few different versions of the tea, but have to say, the Teapigs Mate' suits me to perfection!
I brew it just like green tea (don't tell the argis) as I dont have the proper 'mate' kit' ...
Anyway ~ hurry up the post.....:~)”
