The leaves of this beautiful green tea, from Southern China are carefully hand rolled into a precious pearl then engulfed in fresh jasmine flowers. Leaving the tea to nestle amongst the flowers allows the natural floral scent to absorb into the tea, giving it a delicate pure taste!

Louise the tea taster says

how does it taste?

Very delicate green tea with a light, floral, refreshing, natural jasmine taste.

good if you're feeling

In need of relaxation and detox. Like all teas, this is bursting with antioxidants - the good guys that help keep us young and healthy.

How we like it

Try it naked... this tea alone, with hot water.

Just cover one tea temple with boiling water and infuse for 3 minutes. Remove temple and top-up glass with iced water.

Brew Time

  • one tea temple per person, infused with water at 80 degrees C. (If you don't have a fancy kettle or thermometer to hand, grabbing the kettle just before it boils will do the job!) .
  • loose tea - 4 to 6 pearls per person. Infuse for 3+ minutes.

Whole leaves take longer to brew, but the little wait is definitely worth it.

Instant Zen

Jasmine Pearls

“During a recent visit to the UK for the first time I found Tea Pigs brand inside a large department store in London. I purchased some Jasmin Pearls and brought them back to Milan where I live and found myself religiously drinking it every night until sadly, it was finished. This is the best Jasmin tea I've ever had, and I'm not even fond of Green Tea in general, but drink it for the nutritional value. Can't wait to place my online order and try some others flavors. Your tea is the best!”

You'll never go back!

Fantastic tea!

“I have tried many Jasmine green teas including the ones from Harrods, Floriane etc and found this tea as good as other top teas. It is gentle, well balanced with a lovely jasmine scent. Not too heavy and intense as cheaper varieties. Would definitely buy again.”

“I love this tea! It's so fragrant and unlike some other green tea brands it doesn't have a bitter taste.”

* * * * * by Sheila Morrison • 28th July 2012

“A gorgeous tea, in more ways than one! It's so sweet and lovely, and nice to watch the pearls unravel. I keep the bag in my cup and keep topping up. For some reason it tastes amazing with chocolate mints...?! but it's also great on its own! My second favourite of your teas (favourite is chai !)”

* * * * * by ITHAQVA • 20th April 2014

“Another fine tea from the TEAPIGS people!
An excellent Jasmine tea with loads of depth and the perfect level of Jasmine, if you combine with a little sugar you’ll find the complexity of the tea increased. 1 Tea temple goes a long way. I use a 500ml mug for my Jasmine Tea and get two mugs per Tea temple (1 Litre!) The first mug complex, mild, sweet and aromatic, the second I allow to infuse until the tea is cool enough to drink, has a much more subtle relaxed flavour yet still very enjoyable.
Nice one Tea Pigs!”

Beautiful Tea!

* * * * * by Katie Rendall • 25th March 2019

“These Jasmine Pearls teabags are wonderful. So many 'Jasmine' teas are made with jasmine flavouring but these are made with actual Jasmine flowers which makes all the difference to the flavour. Don't overbrew, as with any green tea, five mins is perfect! Well done Tea Pigs! Another amazing product! :)”

“Jasmin pearls blow me away, it's just divine, i love it in the afternoon as a little pick me up. I close my eyes and i'm transported to cool mediteranean evening with the air awash with the lingering scent of jasmin. It's invigorating and refreshing, I highly recomend it. Knocks the socks off any other jasmin tea i've tried.”

One of the best teas in the world

* * * * * by Ross Parker • 29th May 2014

“I have been drinking good tea for three or four years now, and have tended to gravitate towards black teas as I like their depth of flavour. However this Jasmine tea, and the Mao Feng green have made me reconsider. Of the two, the Jasmine is the winner. It is utterly sublime and it's a close call between this and another company's Bohea Lapsang for my favour tea of the 200+ I have tasted.”

The best Jasmine Tea I've EVER had

* * * * * by • 10th December 2010

“I buy a lot of chinese loose leaf teas, including jasmine, and nothing compares to this one! How do you do it? Even when I leave the teabag in it doesn't get bitter, it's fragrant and I was shocked to find that it was my favourite from my bumper order - I thought I'd cracked Jasmine tea, but teapigs blew it out of the water.”

Fragrant and Soft

* * * * * by Jessica • 6th December 2012

“This was my first experience with Teapigs (thanks to Moksha in Brighton and a lovely Japanese student of mine). I had generally been a coffee drinker but did Jasmine at home in the mornings. This Jasmine just blew what I had been drinking out the water. This is as beautiful as the sort of stuff you can usually only get in Thai restaurants and even then, only loose. This is a fragrant, soft tea, excellent for a nice read on a Saturday afternoon.”

Superb Jasmine tea

“This is the best jasmine tea I have had since my husband brought me some back from China when he was on a business trip about 10 yrs ago. I fell in love with Jasmine Tea then and have been searching for a Jasmine to equal it ever since and have always been disappointed until now! Teapigs looseleaf Jasmine is just as i remember the authentic Chinese green Jasmine tea from all those years ago! Thank you Teapots!”

Delicious tea

* * * * * by Holly Hewitson • 4th September 2019

“This tea smells and tastes delicious. You don't need a lot of it, and you can reinfuse the leaves, so it isn't as expensive as it first appears. I've drunk many different versions of Jasmine pearls and this one from teapigs is the stand out winner.”

Top of my current list

* * * * * by • 10th March 2009

“I'm not really a big fan of the flavour of green tea, but I feel that I have to give it a chance, because of all the handy health benefits. This tea has won me over! It has a very nice, sort of 'flowery' taste to it, and this sweetens the green tea flavour for me, so I get all the health benefits, and it tastes nice! What more could you ask for?”

Blooming great tea!

* * * * * by • 18th January 2011

“I have tried other jasmine teas in the past and have always been dissappointed. My biggest complaint being that the ratio of jasmine flower to actual tea leaves was too low. The tea would smell a little different, but essentially just tasted like green tea.

Tea Pigs have got the balance right. The tea not only smells fragrant and exotic, but has a wonderfully mellow, slightly perfumed taste, with none of the bitterness of other brands.

It's very special and well worth the price.”

Jasmine Pearls

“I love this tea, I first had Jasmine tea in Hong Kong and every time I make it with my tea temples it takes me straight back to a budhist temple! Smells and tastes great.”

* * * * * by • 21st February 2011

“A lovely balance of green and jasmine, a great mid-day tea to perk you up. The tea temples work really well too, tho they are fit to burst once the peals have opened!

Especially nice as the supermarket jasmine I've just bought is awful, and this was just the right thing to make up for it.”

I thought I had been drinking Jasmine tea... clearly not... till now that is!

* * * * * by Alison • 10th December 2012

“I have always loved Jasmine tea, this however is what Jasmine tea is all about.

I put the pearls straight into my mug, and yes it does look like seaweed at the bottom but I find the flavour just gets better and better, it doesn't go all nasty and bitter like others I have tried.

Peoples you need to try this!!”

Very aromatic

* * * * * by • 6th April 2009

“I feel like a spoilt queen drinking this tea.

It should be drunk, if possible, in one of those big ancient square royal baths you see in films like The Mummy Returns. filled with goats milk and topped with various flower petals, with white Persian kittens playing all around the marble floors. And a maid bringing you a four-tired pink cake like in Marie Antoinette.

But it's also very good if you run yourself a mortal's bath with a bit of bubbles and relax.

Or at least that's how I drink it.

Lovely stuff.”

Delicate and Lovely!

* * * * * by • 19th March 2011

“Like the reviewer below me, I've tried many different brands and versions of Jasmin Tea, and never been satisfied. My stepmother is Chinese, and after having tried some 'proper' Jasmin tea (would have cost nearly £200 in the UK!) she'd brought with her from China, I fell in love with this tea.

Teapigs have created a lovely blend with their version of this popular tea, and I thoroughly applaud them. I will be buying a big joblot once I finish my teapiglets version - and I wont even have to spend a fortune!

Many thanks Teapig :)”

“I first tried Jasmine Dragon pearls tea in a sushi bar in Australia, and I was hooked on the taste.

When I came back to the UK, after endless searching online I decided to order a box of this stuff

And it was perfect, really captured the taste I was looking for, allowing me to relive my time at the sushi bar

Thanks Teapigs for making this great tea, honestly there's none other like it. The delicate hint of Jasmine smells wonderful in the cup and it tastes great.

I now buy this on a regular basis - it has become my favourite and go-to tea”

“I grew up in Luxembourg and often ate at Chinese restaurants, where it was customary amongst our circle of friends to have a pot of jasmine tea with our meal.

Not since those days (over 20 years ago) have I tasted such delicious jasmine tea!! Every cup I drink takes me straight back to my teens and all those happy memories. And of course it's incredibly refreshing and thirst-quenching. The mild yet intense aroma permeates through the room every time I brew a cup and it makes me feel happy. Thank you Teapigs!!”

“I love jasmine tea and this was a wonderful find - I recently decided to give up coffee and discovering these pearls made the whole process not only doable but enjoyable. I have just come to the end of my first box and am considering whether to buy again as I do like my tea to be guaranteed organic because non-organic tea often has heavy pesticides. I would give 5 stars if this was guaranteed organic but sadly it is not. Make it organic, tea pigs!”

Dont put the water in from a just boiled kettle - let the water cool for 1 min then pour into your cup!

I add in some honey or sugar and its wonderful when you are looking for some 'zen-type' relief !”
