stockist of the month | paws cafe

Each month, we give our wonderful stockists a different theme and ask them to send us photos of how they best show off our teas. We then pick who has tagged @teapigs and used #teapigsstockist with the best picture to find our stockist of the month! Last month we challenged our stockists to show them taking their teapigs into the great outdoors and enjoying an al fresco cuppa. There were lots of great entries but this one from Paws Cafe combined cycling and cats – two loves of the teapigs HQ office – making it a popular choice to be August’s Stockist of the Month. Grab a brew and keep reading to find out more about their brilliant business!

You’ve got 50 words to describe your business…go!

Paws Cafe is Shropshire's first Cat Cafe. We opened in January 2019 so we're still a new business. We are located in Shrewsbury and offer our customers a purrrfect cat experience. We have 12 residents cats, some specific breeds and some moggies who love to play and have cuddles.

What made you decide to choose teapigs?

During your stay at Paws Cafe you pay for your time and not your drinks. All non-alcoholic drinks are included. Even though the drinks are included we both felt it was really important to offer our customers premium products. We also loved the idea that, like our business, teapigs was started by two people with a passion. The service and relationships you build with the team is on a personal level.

If you could only have one teapigs tea for the rest of your life, which would you pick?

James is coffee and cats and I am tea and cake. We have both travelled and worked abroad. My mum would always post me parcels of tea and salad cream... #essentials. It has to be the everyday brew for me, it's like a cup of home.

What made you want to setup Paws Cafe?

Ironically when James and I first met I was allergic to his cat at home. We both had busy and stressful jobs and found time at home with the cats, children and a cup of tea was when we were most happy. We visited another cat cafe and fell in love with the concept. "Time spent with cats is never wasted".

If we were to come by to your cafe, what’s your best seller?

Our best sellers in the cafe are the everyday brew and earl grey strong. However during the summer the cold brew, especially the rose and lychee flavour has been super popular.
