Lots of people first dip their toe into the world of matcha when making a change to become healthier and happier. As well as increased energy and an improvement in general sense of wellbeing, lots of matcha lovers have found that their little daily shot, matcha latte or matcha sprinkle over their porridge is really helping them when their weight loss goals. Green tea is a very clever little thing and studies have shown that it can actually raise a person’s metabolic rate, which is great stuff indeed.

Here’s what some very happy matcha customers told us about matcha and their slimming journeys:

“I've been taking Matcha green tea for 4 months now and the results have been amazing. As part of a change in diet and increased exercise my weight loss has been great, together with my personal trainer I who measures my body changes each month, in January my body fat percentage fell by an incredible 2.3% in one month. It is worth considering that my body fat was at the low end for males at 16% dropping 2.3% to 13.7% in January alone - even trainer was amazed he had to check the results twice, in addition, although i train almost daily now January was a slower month due to work commitments. Through the training, healthy diet and Matcha my body fat is now at 10.31%, I know i can't attribute all of this to Matcha but there is a consensus between my trainer and I that it has increased the rate of success.”

“I'm slimming with Weightwatchers and feel that the Matcha has boosted my weight loss this week - and long may it continue!!!”

“I have only been taking it for a couple of weeks, but I do feel a bit slimmer. I certainly don't crave sugary foods mid-morning/mid-afternoon and find myself snacking less.”

“I lost 1.3kg in under 2 weeks!!!!!!! I was only losing 0.2kg on average each week before matcha.”

“It is helping me to maintain my weight following a diet I followed which resulted in me losing over 2.5 stone. Matcha is amazing and I definitely notice the difference when I don't take it!”

“Over the last 5 months, I've lost 20 pounds. I used to drink matcha 3 times a week or so, but found that increasing my consumption to a cup every morning dramatically helped my weight loss.”

“I have only been taking it for a couple of weeks, but I do feel a bit slimmer. I certainly don't crave sugary foods mid-morning/mid-afternoon and find myself snacking less.”

“After losing a few pounds after Christmas by eating drastically less, I started drinking matcha and I feel I have been able to keep a consistent weight and belly size since, but while eating a normal amount. Also, I drink my matcha first thing in the morning with a small breakfast, and I have now noticed I am feeling full until lunchtime! (Proper lunchtime, 1pm..!)”

“I've been so impressed! I'm at the beginning of a very long weight loss journey and the Matcha tea has been a vital part of that; along with a high protein/low carb diet. I've lost 30 pounds in just over 2 months. The first two weeks of my diet change I was incredibly lethargic and weak, I started buying very strong b vitamin complex pills and drinking a lot of coffee. Now I don't need the vitamins and coffee at all! I sometimes whip up a bulletproof match'presso (made that up just now haha) An idea partly stolen from Dave Asprey who inspired thousands to drink a blend of organic, unsalted butter (from grass fed cows; this makes the fat good), MCT oil and low toxin coffee. I blend the matcha with some butter and some MCT oil...BOUNDLESS energy. Sounds gross but it's creamy and quite sweet. It's not dissimilar to the idea of Tibetan butter tea. My skin is much better and I will be very sad from the transition into a new job when I won't be able to afford Matcha for two months but I'll be right back onto it, I can certainly feel the difference from it. I tell everyone about it! “

Wowsas, great stuff! And if that wasn't enough, matcha is full to the brim with other benefits, including increased energy - find out more here.
