Description

Liquorice and mint Gansu, Northern China Sourced from:
Gansu, Northern China

Louise the tea taster says

One of our best sellers, this little combo has hit the spot with lots of you. We use the natural root of the liquorice plant (not the black sticky stuff you’re thinking of!) and have blended it with our of pure peppermint leaves to create a naturally sweet and refreshing drink that is irresistibly moreish.  Liquorice has been used in Chinese medicine for years and is known as “the great detoxifier” – sounds great!

How does it taste?

Sweet, liquorice, mint and sweet again.

Good if you're feeling

in need of a little treat, or, alternatively, in need of a tea to soothe a sore throat.

This tea contains liquorice - people with hypertension should avoid excessive consumption.

Loved this!

Was not expecting to like this because I really don't like liquorice, but I was really surprised! It's smooth and minty with a sweet aftertaste. Love it for after dinner. Highly recommend this tea!

Fab

Ordered a pick and mix box and this tea is by far my favourite so far.

I love liquorice tea but have never had it with mint before. This really doesn't disappoint. The swwetness of the mint combined with the subtle liquorice flavour is very nice

Interesting!

After hearing rave reviews, I decided to try the tea for myself so I ordered it off of Amazon as I live in Canada. I really enjoy the minty flavour and although the licorice is not what I expected because it is very subtle, there's a slight second of bitterness before the sweetness hits. I'm not a fan of that but I really do enjoy the tea.

Pleasently suprised!

Let me start by saying I am not at all a fan of liquorice but I recieved a free sample of this with another order and attempted to approach it with an open mind.

It is really sweet and not at all like the liquorice in the sweet shops. It isn't my first choice of tea (peppermint.....it's ace!) but I certainly won't turn it down in future.

Fantastic

I watched essiebutton's youtube review after hearing rave reviews about this tea. Spotted it in tesco and despite the price tag telling me no I bought it anyway. SO WORTH IT. It tastes sweet, syrupy like honey running down your throat.
