Description

Chamomile Croatia Sourced from:
Croatia

Louise the tea taster says

It’s long been known that the best chamomile tea comes from brewing the whole flowers. So guess what we sell? That’s right, only the whole flowers of the Croatian chamomile bush. You may have noticed most other chamomile teas are made from crushed flowers, which, in our view, is a plain nasty thing to do.  Equally, well known are the medicinal benefits of chamomile, which include calming, soothing anxiety and aiding sleep.

How does it taste?

A beautiful yellow cup which gives way to a sweet, surprisingly juicy flavour of chamomile.

Good if you're feeling

unable to switch off. One cup of this will calm any incessant mind-whirring, especially if you put your feet up whilst someone else makes it for you.

Amazing!

I've always been a lover of chamomile tea since my dad introduced it to me when i was ill, but this one just took the biscuit! twinings was always my favourite, but teapigs will officially be filling my hot drinks cupboard from now on ... and the beauty of the tea bag makes the experience even better!

Mmmmm...

I've tried various chamomile teas in the past, and I've never been impressed by it - they were either bitter and nasty, or didn't really taste of much. Then I bought some from here, believing the hype that it should taste better, and it did! I actually enjoy a mahoosive mug of chamomile tea before bed whenever I feel I need a helping hand to wind down, thank you! :D

Delicious

I have tried chamomile tea in the past as it is meant to help you get to sleep but it's always tasted bitter and unpleasant. I've been able to just about put up with the taste by adding honey.

Then I got a teapig sample of chamomile with my last order. I'm a convert!!! This is truly delicious. Not bitter, dry, dusty or unpleasant at all. It really does taste sweet and juicy and I'm about to order a box. And that's before I know if it will help me get to sleep or not.

I'll move my score up if it helps me sleep as well...

Delicious and BEAUTIFUL!

I've already mentioned my foreign background in another review on here...as well as having grown up in Luxembourg, I'm Italian and German, and my Italian roots are a big influence on my culinary tastes.

Chamomile Tea is given to infants and children all over Italy as a bedtime drink, so the smell and taste of this particular tea reminds me of childhood relaxation. It also reminds me of the many summers when my mother and I would pick chamomile flowers, boil them up and then pour the cooled chamomile infusion onto our hair after washing, before drying it out in the early evening sunshine to help bring out the natural blondness in our hair.

Having an infusion made straight from the flowers rather than a tea infused with the flavour & scent of chamomiles is amazing. It tastes, looks & smells fantastic!

Well done & thank you, Teapigs!!
