Description

Mao Feng Green Tea Anhui province, China Sourced from:
Anhui province, China

Louise the tea taster says

Call us soppy romantics, but we like this story. A young man and a beautiful young woman from a tea plantation were in love, but the local tyrant seized her as his concubine. She escaped, only to learn that the tyrant had killed her lover. Finding his body deep in the mountains she wept and wept until she became the rain, while her lover's body turned into a tea bush. Which is why, according to the legend, the area where Mao Feng tea grows is forever cloudy and humid the whole year round. All together now…ahhh! This tea is special, unlike any other green tea on the market. A green tea liked by people who don’t like green tea.

How does it taste?

This tea has a delicate natural taste of fresh summer air, peaches and apricots. The infusion will turn clear pale green (not the murky brown you often see with standard green teas).

Good if you're feeling

in need of a make-over. Can’t afford rehab, liposuction or Botox? Why not settle for a nice cuppa? You may have heard about the many reputed benefits of drinking green tea, ranging from weight loss to anti-ageing - more fun than cosmetic surgery!

Mao Feng Green Tea

We love Mao Feng Green tea. Tried it at a hotel we stayed in and just loved it and now that we're home we have ordered it. My husband drinks a lot of green tea but this is now his favourite. I have not liked green tea before but now I love it. Well done for providing such a great tea!

Lovely peach taste

I have only ever tried green tea once and did'nt really enjoy it all but this tea is really light and refreshing. You can really taste the peaches, I haven't added anything to it and don't think I will bother, tastes great with just hot water. Will be ordering again.

Got me hooked :) (with honey)

Let's not talk about the teas that came before...I'm so happy I found this one! I like adding half a teaspoon of honey to the tea, which makes it a little bit sweeter. You can still appreciate and taste the green tea, but i just prefer a little more sweetness. I crave it!! I've never craved tea! Thank you, teapigs X

I don't like green tea (well, I didn't before I tried this) It's lovely. Is definitely on my 'to buy more of'' list for when I finish my sample pack

Simple, classic

I'm a big green tea drinker - probably average around 6-8 cups a day. I have many different varieties and have tried thousands. Teapigs Mao Feng is quickly becoming my default, baseline tea. It's the first one I reach for. The one that keeps me going through the day, particularly first thing in the morning and in the afternoon lull. Well done Teapigs and long live Mao Feng.
