Description

Chocolate Flake Ceylon Black tea Sourced from:
Ceylon Black tea

Louise the tea taster says

When we think about how many times we’ve dunked chocolate biscuits into cups of tea, it’s surprising no-one else has ever thought of this before. Tea and chocolate, together, in one cup. A partnership so perfect, it belongs between the pages of a Mills and Boon novel.

How does it taste?

Not sickly sweet hot chocolate, but a far more sophisticated tea and chocolate combo.

Good if you're feeling

difficult to please - you know, when you want everything and you want it now? Like wanting the taste of chocolate but without the calories?

  • Tea temple - 1 per person. Infuse in boiling water. Brew for 3+ minutes.

Whole leaves take longer to brew, but the little wait is definitely worth it.

How we like it

Indulgent - long brew and full fat milk, much more satifying than a hot choc.

Subtle but gorgeous

This tea is lovely to drink as an everyday-type tea, personally I leave it to brew for quite a while and add milk. The result is a creamy tea with an undertone of chocolate - don't buy this tea expecting a cup of chocolate but although the taste is subtle it really does make the world of difference! Addicted, as is everyone I know who has tried it!

Very disappointing

I've had other chocolate teas that were like dessert without the calories. After reading the reviews I had high hopes about this one, but was very disappointed as there was only the slightest hint of chocolate which was mostly the aroma. Otherwise this tasted like ordinary tea. Much prefer the winter spice tea.

Winter favourite

I've tried it on its own, with sugar, with sugar and milk etc.

In my opinion the best way is with plenty of sugar and milk. (I also add a drop of toffee nut syrup). It really brings out the raw chocolate taste.

Love these for a change.

I tried these because they sounded so nice. They are so creamy and so moreish. When I tried these my mum and sister was round put it this way my 15 tea bags have now nearly gone and they have both putting orders in.
