Description

Liquorice and mint Gansu, Northern China Sourced from:
Gansu, Northern China

Louise the tea taster says

One of our best sellers, this little combo has hit the spot with lots of you. We use the natural root of the liquorice plant (not the black sticky stuff you’re thinking of!) and have blended it with our of pure peppermint leaves to create a naturally sweet and refreshing drink that is irresistibly moreish.  Liquorice has been used in Chinese medicine for years and is known as “the great detoxifier” – sounds great!

How does it taste?

Sweet, liquorice, mint and sweet again.

Good if you're feeling

in need of a little treat, or, alternatively, in need of a tea to soothe a sore throat.

A lovely little twist

I have just brewed my first cup of this delicious tea, I am still sipping away on it as I write the review. It is a wonderful twist on the usual peppermint tea, the liquorice isn't overpowering but it adds a tasty little sweet kick at the end of every sip. Can't wait to try it iced.

Hate herbal teas, but, needed alternative to caffeine. This was recommended to me, and I am happy to honestly say I was very suspicious. 1) I don't like liquorice 2) as mentioned I hate herbal tea.
This is different, it's comforting and has a lovely minty sweet after taste. Thank goodness someone can make flavoured tea that actually tastes nice and not like warm pond water!! Thanks Teapigs!
