This blend is a twist on our traditional chai – the same authentic Indian recipe but with a little extra kick from little flakes of real chilli. A gutsy assam blended with whole cardamom pods, real chunks of ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and not forgetting those spicy chilli bits. This chai is for those of you who don't order korma and plain naan from your local curry house.

How we like it

Brew Time

Boiling Water
Brew for 3+ minutes

Tea temple - 1 per person. Infuse in boiling water. Brew for 3+ minutes.

Whole leaves take longer to brew, but the little wait is definitely worth it.

How we like it

Hot - extra long infusion, lots of milk and a little sugar or honey.

Iced

Just cover one tea temple with boiling water and infuse for 3 minutes. Remove temple and top-up glass with iced water.

This was a tasty cup of chai!

It was nice and spicy but could have done with a little more chilli as there wasn't much kick.

Most disappointing

Not at all what I was expecting,
Very little "kick"and it reminded me of weak mulled wine at Christmas time.

Spicy and warming

I love regular chai tea, but thought I'd give this a try. To start with it just tasted like a good cup of chai, but gradually the heat of the chilli kicks in. Totally delicious!

A real winner

I'm not really a tea lover and don't expect to enjoy black tea based infusions. However, I really seriously enjoyed your chai (straight, no milk or sugar) and the extra kick of chilli makes this a real winner for me.

NOT! a Tea drinker,but this was AWESOME!!!

I don't drink tea and a friend gave me this to try....WOW!!a splash of milk n Honey(not a honey lover)am a coffee n milk gal,changing my drinking habits now!(not that am a heavy drinker!!)
