teapigs will be exhibiting at The Real Food Festival this year. The festival is taking place at Earls Court in London between the 7th and 10th May. Not only will we have a stand selling our tea temples (stand 170), but we'll have another stand close by (stand 167) which will be dedicated to teapigs organic matcha. At both stands there will be the opportunity to sample tea and meet the gang! The Real Food Festival does what it says on the tin and provides a wonderful range of things to look at, taste anfd buy. We have got 3 pairs of tickets which are valid for all 4 days and 20 pairs of tickets valid for either the 9th or 10th May. All you need to do to get your hands on a pair of tickets is email hannah@teapigs.co.uk and we'll give them away on a first come first served basis!

As we wake from our chocolate-induced coma and the sun peeks from behind the clouds, it's already time to look forward to the...dare I say it....Summer!
Don't panic though, teapigs is here to help hold your hand through the grusome transition from winter hermit to summer beauty - all thanks to the wonderfulness of our matcha! This fantastic green powder packs a real punch with 137 times the antioxidants of normal green tea! Consisting of nothing but top quality 100% organic ground green tea leaves, this super hero tea can help promote weight loss by boosting metabolism and raising energy levels!

It's all you need to get you on the road to becoming a beach babe or beach beau respectively! AND....as if that wasn't enough....compliment the transformation with teapigs yerba mate, a smoky flavoured natural detox from a little known shrub from South America!
Since the start of the year teapigs organic matcha has literally been flying off our shelves and onto yours! It seems like you guys and girls can't get enough of the super power green stuff (understandable of course!) and this big popularity has lead to us currently being out of stock :(

Please accept a big teapigs apology for this and rest assured that we are working round the clock to get it back in our teapigs online shop. As we are expecting to have our amazing matcha back in next week, it is still possible to make an order via our matcha pages which will be dispatched as soon as the new stock arrives.
If you have any queries then please don't hesitate to get in touch with us directly: hannah@teapigs.co.uk or 020 560 0312
Our new friend, Catty from thecattylife.com, which, by the way, is blog heaven for anyone who loves their food - like us.
She has come up with a recipe for the prettiest rice krispie cakes ever!

matcha's all the rage with msn this month - have a little read of this.

It's back. Gloom Aid returns to cheer us all up on what is officially the gloomiest day of the year (apparently). Run by cheerful chappies Leonard and Cliff (pictured) the event at the O2 Academy, Islington features various artists who will bring smiles to our faces and help to raise money for The Depression Alliance. We'll be there doing our own little thing to raise energy levels by serving matcha shots. So if you can, come along for what should be the perfect antidote to the post Christmas blues. See you there hopefully :-) (posted by Nick)

Over the festive Christmas break I decided to put my little pot of amazing matcha to good use in one of my favourite recipes - banana bread!
It's a really quick and easy recipe and the best news is that it's sort of healthy - in the world of cakes that is! For a nutrient boost try using wholemeal flour instead of white flour.

The finished product is a great tea time treat - along with a mug of your favourite teapigs tea of course!

For the full details of this recipe and others, just visit our matcha recipe page which has loads of great culinary ideas involving the one and only mactha! Enjoy! by Hannah :)
Last week Spirit of Christmas, thanks to all of you who came to see us. This Friday, Saturday and Sunday we'll be at Masterchef Live (the show formerly known as Good Food) at Olympia, London. So come down and meet us, stock up on some Christmas stocking fillers and sample our super power organic matcha tea. Hope to see you there.

the teapigs matcha man seems to be getting around a bit. We found him on the Hello There Cutie blog site - a celebration of all things cute. Don't worry he's still an anti-oxidant rich, energy-giving super power hero deep down.

Thanks very much to Paul, a matcha tea drinker who emailed us saying "So far this summer I haven't taken any of my usual assortment of hayfever
pills/sprays/drops and didn't realise why, then I read somewhere that green
tea is a natural anti-histamine. I think the key to this is that you drink
the whole leaf in Matcha, not just brew it. Every morning now I wake up with
my usual summer hayfever feelings but within 20mins of drinking a good slug
of this they've gone for the day ! Result."
So, if you suffer, then maybe a daily matcha shot will help you too.Super power indeed. (posted by Nick)
