Since the start of the year teapigs organic matcha has literally been flying off our shelves and onto yours! It seems like you guys and girls can't get enough of the super power green stuff (understandable of course!) and this big popularity has lead to us currently being out of stock :(

Please accept a big teapigs apology for this and rest assured that we are working round the clock to get it back in our teapigs online shop. matcha's all the rage with msn this month - have a little read of this.

It's back. Gloom Aid returns to cheer us all up on what is officially the gloomiest day of the year (apparently). Run by cheerful chappies Leonard and Cliff (pictured) the event at the O2 Academy, Islington features various artists who will bring smiles to our faces and help to raise money for The Depression Alliance. We'll be there doing our own little thing to raise energy levels by serving matcha shots.So if you can, come along for what should be the perfect antidote to the post Christmas blues. Over the festive Christmas break I decided to put my little pot of amazing matcha to good use in one of my favourite recipes - banana bread!

It's a really quick and easy recipe and the best news is that it's sort of healthy - in the world of cakes that is! For a nutrient boost try using wholemeal flour instead of white flour.

The finished product is a great tea time treat - along with a mug of your favourite teapigs tea of course!

the teapigs matcha man seems to be getting around a bit. We found him on the Hello There Cutie blog site - a celebration of all things cute. Don't worry he's still an anti-oxidant rich, energy-giving super power hero deep down.

pills/sprays/drops and didn't realise why, then I read somewhere that green
tea is a natural anti-histamine. I think the key to this is that you drink
the whole leaf in Matcha, not just brew it. Every morning now I wake up with
my usual summer hayfever feelings but within 20mins of drinking a good slug
of this they've gone for the day ! Result."

forgive the title but this really is a match made in heaven - chocolate and matcha. The super power green stuff is all the rage amongst master chocolatiers in Paris and Tokyo for their designer parties - we knew we were on to something good.
