Last week, Olympia, this week the NEC, Birmingham at The Good Food Show, 25th - 29th December. So if you are planning a visit do please pop down to see us on stand J55. Sofia will be there all 5 days, lucky girl. And remember what lovely little stocking fillers, secret Santas, dinner party gifts, etc., our packs make for any tea lover. Special offers availble.

I stumbled across this sight in Trafalgrar Square at the weekend. "Ghost Forest" is an arresting piece of art that seeks to raise public awareness of the connections between deforestation and climate change. It certainly got my attention and you can check out more about this campain by clicking here. Next stop for the stumps is Copenhagen in time for the Climate Change Conference in December. I may have mentioned this before... but I am not a pu'erh fan. Having said that we like to keep our eyes peeled for potential new additions to the teapigs family, yesterday we auditioned a 'very fine ripened pu'erh'.
Other than the fact that Victoria Beckham apparently drinks pu'erh I have never really 'got' what all the fuss is about.
It is a very ancient chinese tea. Traditionally ripened pu'erh is made from tea leaves picked from wild tea bushes in south west china and buried in a moist 'pit' to generate an active compost, the tea is left to ferment and compressed into bricks. A sweet bacteria is
generated which in the aged bricks is supposed to give a sweet and delicate flavour.
The full teapigs team were in agreement that this paticular pu'erh would not be making onto the teapigs menu. Even when following the traditional 'second infusion of pu'erh is best' rule this teas fishy nature did not appeal - it does look pretty though!

Last week Spirit of Christmas, thanks to all of you who came to see us. This Friday, Saturday and Sunday we'll be at Masterchef Live (the show formerly known as Good Food) at Olympia, London. So come down and meet us, stock up on some Christmas stocking fillers and sample our super power organic matcha tea. Hope to see you there.

Our friends at Joules clothing are offering you the chance to win what may just be the coolest competition prize ever - a 1969 MG Miget complete with Joules knitted hood. Wow! for those of you that know more about cars than me, this little British Racing Green classic includes all original features and has been expertly cared for. Additional features include chrome wire wheels, genuine Lucas fog lamps and a gorgeous stainless steel luggage rack to rear. Sounds good to me. Oh and runners up don't do too badly either - 5 £100 Joules Vouchers are also up for grabs.
So how to enter. Simply fill in the entry form on the Joules website here. But be quick! Competition ends 15th November.
You can also enter the competition inside Joules stores and if you're lucky you'll catch a glimpse of the car on it's tour of the stores next week - Beveley (14th) and Harrogate (15th)
teapigs have teamed up with the lovely ladies at Spotted Bikini to promote their new range of goregous mugs which portray charming and cheeky seaside images from their home in Kent.
We will be giving away a pair of mugs to the lucky person who can answer the following question...
In which English coastal town do Spotted Bikini create their seaside images?
(I'll give you a clue. http://spottedbikini.com/)

Competition closes 19th November.
Of course teapigs always enjoy drinking tea but we know that out of home, bottled water can be more convenient when on the go. The best ideas are often the simplest and I like this flexible water bottle from Vapur designed to fit in your pocket, handbag, backpack or briefcase. Initiatives like this plus the partnership between Waste Watch and Hydra Chills may start to make a dent in the 13 billion plastic bottles sold in the UK last year of which only one third were recycled. Doesn't appear to be available in the UK yet. Must be an opportunity there for someone? (posted by Nick)

Thanks to all those who came and bought our tea yesterday at the Spirit of Christmas Fair (London, Olympia). We sold over 200 packs of tea yet only had one male customer all day! Come on guys don't let the side down. I'm sure Nick would love an opportunity to talk about the footy.
We will be there till sunday, sampling some spiced winter tea and warming you up from the cold weather. Feel free to pop along and say hello - if you mention our blog to one of our lovely teapigs we'll even sort you out a cheeky discount.
