bike ride for noel orphanage

Dusting off the old bike ready for a 250 mile ride to near Cardigan, West Wales to attend the Do Lectures. By cycling there, I'm trying to raise money towards our support of Noel Orphanage in Rwanda, home to over 600 children. Just 49p a day will feed, clothe, shelter and educate a child at Noel. If you'd like to lend your support then please click here to go to my JustGiving webpage which explains more. I'm setting off on Tuesday 1st September and hope to do it in 2 days. I'm also hoping for a tailwind and dry weather. (posted by Nick)

big thank you to the real tea brigade

Thank you so much to all the people that have taken the time to sign up to our Drink Real Tea Mission. Your comments have made us chuckle, laugh out loud or nod in ernest agreement. We currently have 280 names on the petition to back our mission to save you all from the sloppy brown dusty nonsense that we're usually served in cafes, bars & restaurants.

As soon as we have reached 10,000 names on the petition, we will begin our assault (in a non-violent, nice friendly sort of way!).

Thanks once again, we'll keep you informed regularly, and as 'Fletch' says on our petition 'without tea, what's the point in biscuits'

...not saying that fletch looks anything like this of course...

mona lisa's bad tea day

We don't know for sure but the tea recently thrown at the Mona Lisa was probably of the brown slop variety that we are campaigning against with our Real Tea Mission. Of course, we are not advocating acts of vandalism, just peaceful protest starting with signing up to our Mission Petition by clicking here.

2000 pounds raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care

you'll hopefully remember that we were donating 50p of every pack of summer flowers sold in June and July to Marie Curie Cancer Care in aid of their Blooming Great Tea Party appeal. Well, we've counted up the donations and are very pleased to announce that we've raised 2000 pounds. Thank you to everyone who has bought a pack and helped us raise money.

our matcha man - what a cutie

the teapigs matcha man seems to be getting around a bit. We found him on the Hello There Cutie blog site - a celebration of all things cute. Don't worry he's still an anti-oxidant rich, energy-giving super power hero deep down.

thirsty thursday!

Jo, our lovely - and normally very professional - brand ambassador, came into the office a little worse for wear on Friday. As well as generally being in a daze, she estimated her modest 5ft4 height at 5ft10, managed to rub the entire contents of a white board onto her jacket and generally gave us much to chuckle about.

The culprit?

Thirsty Thurday's at Whole Foods Market the night before. Apparently it's great - you get to sample 5 different wines with 5 different foods for £5 - and judging from the effect it had on Jo, the portions are pretty generous.

Here's the timetable that includes other scrummy Whole Foods events.
