yerba scrub mate?

Due to it's energy boosting properties I'm quite partial to yerba mate but I'm not sure whether I'm up to plastering it all over my face. However any men out there (and I'm sure women too) who fancy a yerba facial click on this link and get scrubbing.(posted by Nick)

pallet recycling

Take one old pallet from a recent delivery of teapigs to the office, some compost, a few herb seeds/plants, a sunny location, water and leave for a few months. Result? A compact little herb garden. Another few thousand spare pallets and I could grow enough peppermint for teapigs. Any other useful ideas for using unwanted pallets welcome - check these out too (posted by Nick)

ashes stops for tea

Even if you're not a fan of cricket you may be aware that the Ashes have just started. Not enough space here to explain the rules of cricket but any sport that stops for a tea break has to be commended. Of course, there are those who also enjoy our other national beverage whilst spectating (posted by Nick)

Thanks very much to Paul, a matcha tea drinker who emailed us saying "So far this summer I haven't taken any of my usual assortment of hayfever
pills/sprays/drops and didn't realise why, then I read somewhere that green
tea is a natural anti-histamine
. I think the key to this is that you drink
the whole leaf in Matcha, not just brew it. Every morning now I wake up with
my usual summer hayfever feelings but within 20mins of drinking a good slug
of this they've gone for the day ! Result."
So, if you suffer, then maybe a daily matcha shot will help you too.Super power indeed. (posted by Nick)

new organic pamper discovery

We've recently come across LoveLula.com - a very stylish, online organic apothecary/beauty company. We like them very much because all of their products are produced by small independent companies using the finest organic and natural ingredients available - no nasties in sight. And they really believe in taking the time to give lots of info and advice on their products... fabulous!

So if you fancy a bit of pampering, take a look at their site for lots of gorgeous organic beauty products (which I think work really well if you make yourself a cup of teapigs, put your feet up and grab a good book).

Oh and you can choose free samples with your order which arrives very quickly too. And if you're especially lucky, you'll get a free teapigs envelope with your order over the next few weeks.

my wedding cake

Recently got married and my lovely new sister-in-law made personalised wedding cup cakes for us all. She didn't have much of a problem deciding on my decoration. Thanks Nona. It tasted great too. (posted by Nick)

green Britain day

It's Green Britain Day today and there's lots of advice around about how to help the planet. We've said this before but as responsible tea drinkers and hence kettle boilers the best we can do is to just fill the kettle to the amount we need. Apparently if everyone boiled only the water they needed to make a cup of tea instead of "filling" the kettle every time, we could save enough electricity in a year to run more than three quarters of the street lighting in the country. Wow! And you can also save up to 90 seconds in boiling time. There's a number of energy saving kettles on the market, but we like this "eco kettle" best. So in future, not so heavy with the water tap when filling the kettle and you'll save time and energy.(posted by Nick)

bike pod

Being a keen cyclist and always one to encourage people to bike to work I was intrigued to see this modern day "bike shed" called the "green pod", complete with showers and lockers. Maybe one day they'll be commonplace at all work locations. No doubt, bringing a whole new meaning as to what goes on down at the bike shed. (posted by Nick)

our new friends

we met some very lovely teapigs fans on Sunday at the tea party - Alex, Karen and Kit. As well as helping us raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, they drank as much tea as they could, took some really good photos (Karen), and then Alex wrote about us on his blog which we think is pretty cool and very current (and not just because he's written nice things about us either!)...

go on, take a look here:
