When we started we had to make some important decisions. And not just who was going to make the tea in the morning. But big stuff like, what do we stand for? Which was the easier of the two to answer, by the way. Here’s what we came up with
Just fine teas
We will only ever sell teas of the highest quality. We will never compromise on quality.
It also means we sell only whole leaf tea from selected estates, which we supply either as loose leaf or in tea temples.
No airs. No graces.
We love tea we just don’t like the snobbery that can come with it. Instead we concentrate on bringing you the very best tea we can find and not taking ourselves too seriously. We don't want to intimidate you with a huge list of teas or bewilder you with a mass of information (of course you can always ask). We've handpicked a select range that offers you the chance to discover the wonderfully diverse world of tea.
New is good
We all know that tea is steeped in tradition, but if you spend too much time looking back you forget to notice all that’s new and exciting happening now. That’s why, teapigs, quality tea importers since 2006 - sounds good to us.
We try to do the decent thing
We respect our teas; the estates they’re grown on and all the people who help bring them to us. It’s a natural product and that means it shouldn’t be adulterated by anything nasty (including attitudes). The tea industry employs millions of people worldwide, mostly in developing countries and we guarantee that the estates we buy from respect the rights of their workers.
Through the teapigs Ethical Scheme we’ve also made a pledge to help directly those communities we work with. While we might not make much of an impact on world poverty, we will be making a difference to the lives of those in the tea communities.

We promise to bring you the very best quality teas in the most convenient packaging, and that we will endeavour to use the most environmentally friendly materials possible in pursuit of that goal.
